About Counselling

How can counselling help you?

Counselling is a way of gaining a greater understanding of how you are affected by issues relating to your circumstances e.g. family or relationship difficulties, problems at work, bereavement. It looks at how you deal with difficulties and supports you in making choices.

Counselling gives you the opportunity to explore your emotions and discuss issues that are affecting your health and well-being.

My counselling

reflects a person-centred approach.

I aim to create an environment in which you can explore your feelings and achieve greater self-awareness. I work towards developing an equal, non-judgmental relationship that will enable you to feel comfortable and safe to discuss your issues freely.

I believe that we all have the inner resources necessary to find our own way forward

We are ‘the experts’ in this respect! We sometimes just need a space in which to discover them.

Person-centred counselling can empower the client to use these inner resources to take personal responsibility and make choices about their life.
